Core responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design for new structures and for modifications/repairs to existing structures.
Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural systems (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
Produce and review construction documents, structural details and shop drawings.
Check designs meet building codes, standards, load cases (dead, live, wind, seismic) and project requirements.
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout design and construction.
Conduct site visits/inspections, supervise installation, and resolve field issues.
Perform structural assessments, forensic investigations, retrofits and rehabilitation plans.
