Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, tiles and other masonry units in mortar according to line and level.
Prepare, mix and apply mortar; size and cut masonry units with saws, chisels and grinders.
Build forms and set reinforcement when required (tie into structural elements).
Install flashing, weep holes, sealants and expansion joints; perform pointing and finishing.
Ensure work is plumb, level and true to layout lines; check dimensions and tolerances.
Repair and repoint existing masonry; remove defective material and replace.
Clean and protect completed work; maintain tools and equipment.
