Typical Responsibilities:
Assessment: Evaluate patients’ physical condition, movement patterns, strength, flexibility, and pain levels through examination and patient history
Diagnosis: Identify movement dysfunctions and determine physical therapy needs (within scope of practice)
Treatment planning: Design individualized rehabilitation programs based on patient goals and clinical findings
Hands-on therapy: Perform manual therapy techniques — joint mobilization, soft tissue massage, stretching
Exercise prescription: Guide patients through therapeutic exercises to build strength, balance, and range of motion
Equipment use: Apply modalities like ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy, traction.
