Core Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing: Examine raw materials, in-process work, and finished goods using visual checks, measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), or testing equipment to verify they meet specifications
Documentation: Record inspection results, defect rates, and test data in logs or QC software; maintain traceability records
Standards Compliance: Verify products conform to company specs, industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.), regulatory requirements, and customer contracts
Defect Identification: Flag, tag, and segregate non-conforming products; determine whether items should be reworked, scrapped, or returned to a supplier
Root Cause Support: Investigate recurring defects and work with production/engineering teams to identify causes and corrective actions.
