Key Responsibilities:
Read blueprints/specifications to determine layout, materials, and dimensions
Mix mortar/concrete to the right consistency
Lay bricks, blocks, or stones in accurate courses using string lines, levels, and plumb bobs
Cut and shape materials to fit around corners, openings, and fixtures
Build or repair structures: walls, foundations, chimneys, fireplaces, arches, walkways
Apply mortar joints and finish them (tooling, pointing, raking) for a clean look and weatherproofing
Install flashing, damp-proof courses, and insulation where required
Erect and work safely from scaffolding.
