Core responsibilities:
Install and repair pipes, fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers), and appliances (water heaters, dishwashers, boilers)
Diagnose and fix leaks, clogs, and pressure issues
Read blueprints and building codes to plan pipe layouts for new construction
Cut, thread, and weld/solder pipes made of copper, PVC, or steel
Test systems for leaks and proper water flow using pressure gauges
Inspect and maintain drainage and sewage systems.
