Core Responsibilities:
Design control systems for machines, processes, or vehicles (e.g., PID, state-space, model predictive control).
Develop control algorithms and implement them in software/embedded systems.
Select and integrate sensors/actuators (encoders, pressure/temperature sensors, motors, valves, drives, etc.).
Model and simulate system behavior (plant modeling, stability analysis, tuning).
Write and test embedded/control code (often in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, or PLC environments).
Perform system validation & commissioning (test plans, tuning on hardware, debugging).
Troubleshoot issues in closed-loop operation (oscillations, steady-state error, sensor noise, latency).
Create documentation: requirements, design specs, test reports, safety/verification artifacts.
