Key Responsibilities

Staff management: Creating schedules and station assignments, conducting pre-shift meetings, training new and existing employees on service standards/menu knowledge/POS systems, coaching, performance feedback, and sometimes assisting with hiring, counselling, or discipline.
Guest experience: Ensuring high-quality, consistent service; greeting guests; resolving complaints promptly and professionally; monitoring service flow.
Operations & opening/closing: Overseeing shift readiness, equipment function, opening/closing procedures, cash handling, register reconciliation, and end-of-shift reports.
Inventory & costs: Monitoring front-of-house supplies (beverages, glassware, linens), placing orders, tracking waste, and supporting cost control.
