Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Understand architectural plans and specifications to determine layout and materials needed.
Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safe working conditions.
Laying Bricks/Blocks: Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and similar materials to build or repair walls, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures.
Mixing Mortar: Prepare mortar and other bonding substances to ensure bricks/blocks stick together securely.
Measuring and Cutting: Measure distances and cut bricks or blocks to fit corners, arches, and complex designs.
Aligning Structures: Use plumb lines, levels, and tape measures to ensure structures are straight, level, and plumb.
Finishing Touches: Apply finishing techniques such as pointing (troweling mortar joints) and cleaning surfaces for a professional appearance.
