Inspect and test machinery/equipment to detect malfunctions
Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, part replacement, calibration)
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and sometimes electrical issues
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repairs
Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Weld, cut, and fabricate replacement parts when needed
Align, level, and install new machinery.
