Main Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting customers, seating them (in some roles), presenting menus, and explaining daily specials or promotions.
Taking accurate food and beverage orders (often via a point-of-sale/POS system) and communicating them to the kitchen, including any modifications, allergies, or special requests.
Answering questions about menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens; making recommendations and upselling specials, appetizers, desserts, or drinks.
Serving food and drinks promptly and correctly; checking back with tables to ensure satisfaction and handle requests.
