Primarily preventive and observational, with strong elements of customer service, reporting, and emergency response, verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors. Issue badges or passes, manage visitor logs, escort people as needed, and prevent unauthorized entry also respond to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, fires, or other incidents. Provide basic first aid if trained, assist with evacuations, de-escalate conflicts, detain violators when appropriate (and within legal limits), and coordinate with police, fire, or medical services.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, clean criminal records, ability to pass a background check, physical fitness for standing/walking long periods and responding quickly.
Situational awareness and strong observation skills, clear written and verbal communication, ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate situations and attention to detail and reliability.
