Crane Operator

Primary responsibilities:

Set up, rig, and inspect crane(s) and lifting gear before use; verify load charts and lifting capacities.
Operate crane controls to move loads safely and accurately.
Read and apply load charts, work plans, blueprints, and lift plans.
Monitor load stability and use taglines, slings, shackles, spreader bars, and other rigging hardware.
Communicate with signal persons, riggers, and site supervisors using standard hand signals and radios.
Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections; report defects and perform basic maintenance.
Follow site-specific lift plans, safety rules, and OSHA regulations.
