Core responsibilities:
Inspect the crane before and after each shift (cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics, safety devices)
Read load charts to determine safe lifting capacity based on boom angle, radius, and weight
Operate controls to lift, swing, and lower loads with precision
Communicate with signal persons, riggers, and ground crew (hand signals or radio)
Follow site safety protocols and maintain clear sightlines or rely on spotters when visibility is limited
Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues.
