Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and schedule a team of laundry attendants/workers (often across shifts).
Assign tasks, monitor productivity, train staff (including safety and equipment use), evaluate performance, and handle basic personnel issues (coaching, discipline recommendations).
Oversee the full laundry process: collecting/sorting soiled items, washing, drying, ironing/pressing, folding, inspecting for quality/damage/stains, storing, and distributing clean linens/uniforms to housekeeping, food & beverage, or other departments.
Maintain and operate industrial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers, folders, extractors); perform or arrange minor maintenance, report major issues, and ensure cleanliness of the laundry area.
