Core Responsibilities
Design well programs, including trajectory, casing schemes, bottom-hole assemblies (BHA), drilling fluids (mud), and cementing plans.
Analyze geological, pore-pressure, and fracture-gradient data to select optimal drilling techniques and equipment.
Monitor real-time operations (rate of penetration, pressures, torque/drag, hydraulics/ECD) and make adjustments to handle issues like stuck pipe, lost circulation, or wellbore instability.
Manage costs against Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) budgets and track non-productive time (NPT).
