Core Responsibilities:
Client consultation — meeting with clients to understand needs, budget, and site requirements
Design development — creating concept sketches, then detailed drawings and 3D models (often using CAD/BIM software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp)
Technical documentation — producing detailed construction drawings and specifications that contractors will build from
Code compliance — ensuring designs meet building codes, zoning laws, fire safety regulations, and accessibility standards
Collaboration — working with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, interior designers, and contractors
Project management — overseeing timelines, budgets, and coordinating between stakeholders.
