Reading blueprints/specifications to determine layout and materials
Measuring and marking guidelines for straight, level courses
Mixing mortar/cement and spreading it in even layers
Laying and aligning bricks, blocks, or stones using levels, plumb lines, and squares
Cutting and shaping materials to fit around windows, corners, and other obstacles
Applying weatherproofing compounds and finishing/tuckpointing joints
Repairing and restoring existing masonry.
