Core Responsibilities:
Perform physical exams, take vitals, and monitor growth/development milestones
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments (dosing calibrated for smaller bodies)
Start IVs and draw blood — often trickier with pediatric veins
Educate parents/guardians on childcare, nutrition, medication schedules, and illness management
Comfort and calm frightened or distressed young patients
Assist with diagnostic tests and coordinate with specialists
Document patient history and progress in medical records.
