Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans
Measuring, marking, and cutting wood and other materials to exact specifications
Building building frameworks – walls, floors, door frames, roofs, staircases
Installing structures like windows, doors, cabinets, shelves, and roofing also Sanding, polishing, and applying veneers or laminates
Fitting finishing trims and moldings
Ensuring final work is level, plumb, and strong
Requirements includes: excellent measuring, good maths, knowledge of wood types, physical strength and stamina, good eye-hand coordination, not afraid of heights and attention to detail, problem-solving, ability to work with a team, time management, safety consciousness
