Rigger

Core Responsibilities:

Planning lifts: Calculating load weights, center of gravity, and choosing appropriate rigging gear (slings, shackles, chains, wire ropes) for the job
Setting up equipment: Attaching rigging hardware to loads and lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, derricks) to ensure secure connections
Inspecting gear: Checking slings, cables, hooks, and other equipment for wear, damage, or defects before and after use
Directing lifts: Using hand signals or radio communication to guide crane operators during lifting operations.
