Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies — create programs, procedures, and protocols aligned with company operations
Ensure regulatory compliance — keep the organization aligned with OSHA (or local equivalent) and industry-specific regulations
Conduct risk assessments — identify hazards in the workplace and recommend corrective actions
Lead training programs — onboard new employees on safety practices, run refresher courses, run drills
Investigate incidents — lead root-cause analysis on accidents/near-misses and implement preventive measures.
