Psychiatrist

Core responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and risk/safety assessments (suicide/violence).
Formulate differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe, initiate, and manage psychotropic medications; monitor efficacy and side effects.
Provide psychotherapy (individual, group, family) or evidence-based brief psychotherapies as appropriate.
Coordinate care with primary care, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and other providers.
Provide crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric emergencies (inpatient and outpatient).

Qualification & requirement

High school Diploma or equivalent, Clinical: psychiatric diagnostic expertise, psychopharmacology, crisis management.
Interpersonal: empathy, clear communication, cultural competence.
Analytical: risk assessment, clinical decision-making, differential diagnosis.
Organizational: efficient documentation, time management, caseload prioritization.
