Key responsibilities
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming.
Help with mobility and transfers (use of transfer belts, wheelchairs) and encourage safe ambulation.
Provide medication reminders and document administration (non-medical; not dispensing unless trained/authorized).
Prepare meals and assist with feeding; follow dietary instructions.
Light housekeeping: laundry, bed-making, trash removal, dishwashing.
Grocery shopping, errands, and transportation to appointments as needed.
Provide companionship, emotional support, and cognitive stimulation (conversation, games, outings).
Monitor and report changes in client condition, behaviour, or environment to supervisor or family.
Qualification & requirement
High school Diploma or equivalent, Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanour.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Time management and reliability.
Basic understanding of infection control and hygiene.
