Core responsibilities:
Start, operate and monitor machines during production; adjust feeds, speeds, pressures, temperatures, or other settings to maintain quality.
Inspect parts during production (using calipers, gauges, micrometers, visual checks) and record measurements.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning (lubrication, filter changes, basic troubleshooting).
Detect and report malfunctions, defects, and abnormal conditions; escalate to maintenance/lead when needed.
Follow production schedules, job tickets, blueprints, work instructions, and changeover procedures.
Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and machine downtime reports.
Required skills & qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Ability to read basic blueprints, work orders, and dimension specs.
Experience using hand tools and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, gauge).
Strong attention to detail and good problem-sensing skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work standing for extended periods.
Communicates clearly and works in a team.
