Performs routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive work on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and/or production equipment to keep facilities and machinery safe, reliable, and productive.
Key responsibilities:
Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on equipment, systems and building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC systems.
Respond to and resolve work orders; prioritize emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
Inspect equipment and facilities; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain maintenance logs, parts inventory, and equipment history in a CMMS (work orders, repairs, downtime).
Install, move, and calibrate equipment and new components.
Support safety and regulatory compliance (lockout/tagout, PPE, permits).
Coordinate with contractors and engineering as required.
Required qualifications / skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, Mechanical: bearings, couplings, conveyors, pumps, motors.
Electrical: single/three-phase systems, motor starters, control panels, wiring, basic circuit troubleshooting.
Instrumentation & Controls: basic PLC logic, sensors, VFDs, PID controllers (varies by role).
HVAC/plumbing basics for building techs.
Use of multimeter, clamp meter, torque wrench, vibration meter, infrared camera.
