Core responsibilities:
Install, align, and commission centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, and specialty pumps and associated equipment (motors, drives, seals, valves, piping).
Perform preventive maintenance: lubrication, seal and bearing replacement, coupling and shaft alignment, vibration checks, and scheduled overhauls.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical/control faults using hand tools and diagnostic instruments (vibration analyzer, pressure gauges, multimeter, flow meters).
Replace or repair components: seals, impellers, bearings, shafts, couplings, mechanical seals, seal flush systems.
Required skills and qualifications: vocational/trade school or technical certificate preferred.
Mechanical skills: precision measurement, alignment (laser or dial), fitting, welding/brazing (basic), and machining familiarity is a plus.
Electrical/controls: basic motor and starter knowledge, ability to read wiring diagrams, and basic PLC/instrumentation familiarity helpful.
Diagnostic tools: comfortable using multimeters, vibration analyzers, ultrasonic leak detectors, pressure gauges, torque wrenches.
Soft skills: good problem-solving, clear communication, ability to work independently, teamwork, and documentation discipline.
