Key responsibilities:
Safely operate excavators and attachments (buckets, hammers, augers, plate compactors).
Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, and piling tasks to plan specifications.
Read and work from grade stakes, construction plans, and basic survey marks.
Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment (fluid checks, greasing, minor repairs); report defects.
Coordinate with laborers, surveyors, and site supervisors to sequence work and ensure utility/location safety.
Follow site safety plans, traffic control, and lockout/tagout/confined‑space procedures as required.
Required qualifications & skills
High school diploma or equivalent, Smooth, precise machine control and spatial awareness.
Basic mechanical aptitude for daily maintenance/diagnostics.
Good communication and teamwork; reliable and punctual.
Problem solving under pressure and good judgment for safety-critical decisions.
