Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues using instruments, X-rays, and other diagnostic tools.
Remove tooth decay, fill cavities, and repair or extract damaged teeth.
Place sealants or whitening agents; fit crowns, bridges, dentures, or other restorations.
Administer local anesthetics and prescribe antibiotics or other medications.
Perform procedures such as root canals, periodontal treatments, or minor oral surgery.
Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws (especially in children).
Education and skills: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Attention to detail and ability to concentrate for long periods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (explaining procedures and calming anxious patients)
Critical thinking and diagnostic ability
Empathy and patient-centered care.
