Key Responsibilities:
Personal care and daily living support: Helping with washing/bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, feeding/meals, and maintaining dignity and comfort.
Mobility and physical assistance: Helping patients move, transfer (e.g., bed to chair), turn/reposition, use wheelchairs or walking aids, and prevent pressure sores.
Monitoring and observations: Taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, weight, oxygen levels); noting changes in condition and reporting them promptly to nurses or doctors.
Required Skills and Qualities
High school Diploma or equivalent, Compassion, empathy, patience, and a caring/kind attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (listening, explaining, reassuring).
Observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and use initiative.
Physical stamina (standing, lifting/moving patients, shift work including nights/weekends).
Resilience for emotionally challenging or high-pressure situations.
