Core responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, prep surfaces, walk-in refrigerators, ovens, grills, and exhaust hoods.
Empty and clean trash containers; separate and prepare recyclables and waste according to procedure.
Clean and sanitize workstations, refrigerators, shelving, and small equipment.
Assist with unloading deliveries and basic storage/rotation of supplies (FIFO).
Break down boxes and maintain organized storerooms.
Notify supervisors of low stock, broken equipment, or maintenance needs.
Assist cooks with basic prep tasks when needed (peeling, rinsing, ingredient transfer).
Follow food safety, health, and safety policies (PPE, proper chemical use).
Participate in deep-clean/line-clean schedules and opening/closing duties.
