Typical Responsibilities:
Install electrical wiring, panels, conduits, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and related components.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
Run cable and conduit (cutting, bending, pulling, and terminating wires).
Install electrical components such as circuit breakers, distribution boards, and transformers (if part of scope).
Connect and test installed systems (continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, functional checks).
Follow codes and standards (e.g., NEC/NFPA in the US), safety regulations, and company procedures.
Troubleshoot basic issues during installation and rectify wiring/component faults.
Use hand and power tools safely (drills, crimpers, testers, multimeters, conduit benders, etc.).
Maintain job documentation (as-built notes, checklists, test reports).
