Core Responsibilities:
Installation — setting up new pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, hydraulic, etc.) according to specifications and safety codes
Preventive maintenance — routine inspections, lubrication, seal and bearing checks, alignment checks, and scheduled servicing to prevent breakdowns
Troubleshooting and repair — diagnosing issues like leaks, cavitation, vibration, overheating, or loss of pressure/flow, then repairing or replacing parts (impellers, seals, bearings, gaskets, motors)
Testing and calibration — running performance tests to confirm pumps meet flow rate, pressure, and efficiency requirements
Documentation — logging maintenance history, parts used, and inspection results
Reading technical drawings — interpreting schematics, P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), and manufacturer manuals.
