Core Responsibilities:
Preventive maintenance – scheduling and performing routine inspections, servicing, and part replacements to prevent breakdowns
Corrective/reactive maintenance – diagnosing and repairing equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime
Troubleshooting – identifying root causes of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic/pneumatic faults
Installation – setting up new machinery, equipment, or systems
Record keeping – logging maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history (often in a CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Spare parts management – monitoring inventory of critical spares and ordering replacements
Compliance & safety – ensuring equipment meets health, safety, and regulatory standards.
