Typical duties:
Read blueprints/plans to determine dimensions and materials needed
Lay bricks, blocks, or stones in mortar to build/repair walls, foundations, and other structures
Mix mortar or concrete to the right consistency
Measure and align structures using levels, plumb lines, and squares to ensure accuracy
Cut and shape materials using trowels, chisels, and power saws
Apply mortar joints and finish surfaces for appearance and weatherproofing
Install veneers, tiles, and other decorative masonry.
