Core duties
Assess clients’ needs through consultation about pain, tension, injuries, or stress
Apply techniques like Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or reflexology depending on training and client needs
Adjust pressure and technique based on client feedback during the session
Maintain clean, sanitized treatment rooms and equipment (table, linens, oils)
Keep client records: session notes, areas of focus, any medical conditions or contraindications
Recommend stretches, self-care, or follow-up visits
Recognize when a condition is outside their scope and refer clients to a doctor or physical therapist.
