Pump Technician

Core responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine inspections on pumps, motors, seals, bearings, couplings, and auxiliary systems.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using test equipment (vibration analyzer, multimeter, flow/pressure gauges, alignment tools).
Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble pumps; replace seals, impellers, bearings, wear rings, and gaskets.
Perform shaft alignment, balancing, and coupling installation (laser or dial-indicator alignment).
Conduct system start-ups, commissioning, and performance testing (pump curves, flow/pressure verification).
Follow lockout/tagout and confined-space procedures during repairs and in-service work.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventories; recommend spare parts and upgrades.
Coordinate with operations, instrumentation, and engineering for root-cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements.
