Rigger

Core Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting blueprints, load charts, and lift plans
Selecting appropriate rigging equipment (wire ropes, chains, slings, shackles, hooks, pulleys)
Attaching and detaching loads to cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment
Calculating load weights, angles, and center of gravity to ensure safe lifts
Inspecting rigging gear for wear, damage, or defects before and after use
Signalling crane operators using hand signals or radio communication
Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, derricks, or other supporting structures
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
