Core responsibilities:
Analyse structural loads (dead loads, live loads, wind, seismic, thermal)
Select appropriate materials (steel, concrete, timber, composites) and structural systems
Produce structural drawings, calculations, and specifications
Use software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and RISA
Ensure designs comply with building codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocode, IBC, or local codes)
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and contractors.
