Key Responsibilities:
Prepare well data sheets, drilling programs, and detailed well designs (including casing, trajectory, mud/fluids, bottom-hole assembly/BHA, and contingencies).
Select equipment, tools, and drilling methods based on geology, target depths, production needs, and risks.
Monitor daily operations, analyze real-time data, troubleshoot problems (e.g., stuck pipe, wellbore stability, kicks), and recommend adjustments.
Manage costs, track actual vs. planned expenditures (AFEs), and optimize performance to reduce non-productive time (NPT).
Ensure well control, safety (HSE), and environmental compliance; conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations.
