Food preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients as instructed by the chef or cook.
Cleaning: Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; wiping down counters, stoves, and equipment; sweeping/mopping kitchen floors.
Stocking & organizing: Receiving deliveries, storing ingredients properly, rotating stock (FIFO — first in, first out), and keeping the pantry/storage area tidy.
Waste management: Disposing of kitchen waste and recycling properly.
Equipment maintenance: Cleaning and sometimes performing basic maintenance on kitchen tools and machines.
Supporting service: Plating assistance, fetching ingredients during service, and running errands within the kitchen.
