Main Duties and Responsibilities
Consulting with clients about symptoms, medical history, treatment goals, and preferences.
Evaluating the client before and during the session to identify tense, painful, or restricted areas.
Performing hands-on techniques (using hands, fingers, forearms, elbows, or sometimes feet) such as Swedish/relaxation massage, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, and others.
Increasing range of motion through joint mobilization when appropriate.
Educating clients on self-care (stretching, strengthening, posture, relaxation, hydration).
Documenting conditions, treatments, and progress.
