Core Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor networks, systems, and security tools (especially SIEM platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar) for suspicious activity, alerts, and potential breaches.
Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, determine severity, and respond (contain, eradicate, or escalate).
Identify vulnerabilities through scans (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), recommend or support remediation, and help patch systems.
Install, configure, and maintain security tools such as firewalls, encryption software, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
