Core Responsibilities:
Operating rig equipment: Running the drilling rig, controlling drill speed, pressure, and depth
Supervising the crew: Directing roughnecks/floorhands, roustabouts, and derrickhands during drilling operations
Monitoring drilling parameters: Watching mud weight, pressure, torque, and penetration rate to keep drilling safe and efficient
Well control: Detecting and responding to kicks, blowout risks, or other pressure anomalies
Pipe handling oversight: Coordinating tripping (running pipe in/out of the hole), casing, and cementing operations.
