Inspect, select, and set up rigging equipment (slings, chains, shackles, wire ropes, hoists, cranes)
Calculate load weights, center of gravity, and safe working loads (SWL) before lifts
Attach loads securely to lifting equipment and guide crane/hoist operators during lifts
Read and interpret rigging plans, blueprints, and lift plans
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, derricks, or temporary structures when required
Conduct pre-lift safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Coordinate with crane operators, signal persons, and site supervisors using hand signals/radio
Maintain and store rigging equipment properly.
