Core Responsibilities:

Order Processing – Pull items from inventory/warehouse based on packing slips or pick lists; verify quantities and item numbers against orders.
Packing – Package goods securely using appropriate materials (boxes, pallets, crates, padding) to prevent damage in transit.
Labeling & Documentation – Generate and affix shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms (for international shipments); ensure addresses and tracking numbers are correct.
Carrier Coordination – Schedule pickups with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight lines, etc.); compare shipping rates/methods and select cost-effective options.
Inventory Updates – Record shipped quantities in inventory or ERP/WMS systems; flag discrepancies or damaged goods.
Quality Checks – Inspect outgoing items for defects or shortages before shipment; confirm orders match invoices.
