Analyze structural loads (dead loads, live loads, wind, seismic, thermal) and design elements to resist them
Select appropriate materials (steel, concrete, timber, composites) and structural systems
Produce calculations, drawings, and specifications using codes/standards (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, AISC, local building codes)
Use structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla, AutoCAD/Revit)
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and MEP teams
Conduct site inspections and supervise construction to confirm designs are followed correctly
Assess existing structures for safety, retrofitting, or renovation needs.
