Core Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or building plans
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and installing wood, plywood, and other materials (increasingly also composites, drywall, and metal studs)
Building and installing structures: framing, subflooring, roofing, staircases, cabinetry, molding/trim, doors, and windows
Repairing and replacing damaged woodwork or structures
Using both hand tools (hammers, chisels, levels, squares) and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, planers)
Following safety codes and building regulations.
