Core responsibilities
Operate cranes (tower, mobile, crawler, overhead/gantry, etc.) to lift, move, and position heavy materials or equipment at construction sites, ports, shipyards, factories, or warehouses
Inspect the crane before each shift — checking cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics, and safety devices
Read load charts to determine safe lifting capacities based on boom angle, radius, and load weight
Communicate with signal persons, riggers, and ground crew using hand signals or radios
Follow lift plans and site safety protocols
Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
