Core duties
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems used for water distribution and wastewater disposal
Read blueprints and building codes to plan pipe layouts
Inspect systems to diagnose leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning parts
Install appliances like water heaters, dishwashers, and sump pumps
Test systems for leaks and pressure using specialized tools (pressure gauges, cameras, etc.)
Cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
